Only users with Dynamics 365 Administrator or Global Administrator roles can access the Business Central Admin Center.

Business Central Admin Center is a portal for system administrators to perform various tasks.

The Admin Center is a dedicated portal for system administrators to manage environments, schedule updates, configure settings, and perform other key administrative tasks.

Microsoft provides comprehensive documentation covering all aspects of the Admin Center, which we strongly recommend reviewing:

Below, we’ll address some of the most frequently asked questions regarding the Admin Center.

How to Access the Admin Center

As the internal administrator, you can select the link in the Settings menu when you're signed in to Business Central.

Alternatively, you can access the administration center from the URL, use the following pattern but replace [TENANT_ID] with the tenant ID of your Business Central:

https://businesscentral.dynamics.com/[TENANT_ID]/admin

Updating Business Central and Extensions (e.g., Wisefish)

It’s important to actively manage updates in your production environment.
Microsoft follows a structured release plan:

  • 2 major updates: April and October

  • Monthly minor updates

πŸ“˜ Familiarize yourself with the full update cycle: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/administration/update-rollout-timeline

While Microsoft automatically assigns an upgrade date during each update wave, administrators can manually reschedule the update date and time via the Admin Center.

Microsoft's update process may change over time, so we recommend staying up to date with their documentation:

Setting Up Scheduled Update Notifications

Set up scheduled notifications for updates when they become available for your environment. Notifications are sent to all recipients listed on the Notification Recipients tab in Business Central Admin Center.

In order not to miss update notifications from Microsoft, you must make sure that the email is not redirected to the spam folder. The notifications are sent from the following email address: no-reply-dynamics365@microsoft.com.
