Food safety is a top priority for all food manufacturing companies, especially in the seafood industry. Over the past decades, numerous initiatives, both regulatory and industry-driven, have been implemented to enhance food safety and assure consumers that the products they purchase and consume are safe.
Establishing effective control measures at each step of handling, transport, and processing is crucial to prevent unintentional contamination. The Wisefish Quality module enables you to define inspections for each critical control point, specify the parameters to be monitored, and set acceptable value ranges for these parameters. For instance, depending on the process used, factors like heating time and temperature, salt content, pH, and water content must be monitored and controlled.
To ensure the quality of seafood, processing enterprises follow an international quality management system, such as HACCP: Food Safety System or a similar ISO standard quality process and a HAACP or quality certification is now mandatory in most countries. The Wisefish Quality module is an interactive quality management and supervision system designed with ISO and HACCP standards in mind.
