Process Flow

Monitoring Product Quality

For each step in the handling, transport and processing of a product, establishing effective control measures at each point is essential in preventing unintentional contamination.

The Quality Control section of the WiseFish Quality module allows you to define an inspection for each critical control point you establish, define each parameter that must be monitored in the inspection, and set the range of acceptable values that each defined parameter must meet. For example, depending on the type of process employed, heating time and temperature, salt content, pH, water content, etc., must be monitored and controlled. Each of these parameters can be defined in the WiseFish system as a quality detail.

An inspection can then be defined for each critical control point you identify. Each inspection recorded is linked to a specific item, lot, pallet, etc.

The process flow of Wisefish Quality is as follows:

  1. Quality Details define the parameters that must be monitored in the quality inspections.
    See page Quality Details

  2. Quality Inspections are configured.
An inspection can be defined for each critical control point identified.
Each inspection usually contains multiple Quality Details.
    See page Quality Inspection

  3. Inspections are recorded.
Each inspection registered is linked to a specific item, lot, vessel, etc.
    See Recording a Quality Inspection

  4. When inspection is done, it is confirmed.

  5. Finally, it is posted and the result can be linked to production lots or pallets, for example.
Inspection records generally must be kept at least for the expected storage life of the products and be available to the competent authority.
