What Is a Stock Center
A Stock Center is a record that stores information about a place where trade items (fish, fish products, or other tracked goods) are made, stored, handled, or processed. It's a concept specific to Wisefish, and it sits one level above Business Central's regular "Location." One Stock Center can cover several Locations (like warehouses, bins, or zones) that all belong to the same site, company, or business partner.
Typical examples of a Stock Center include a company's own processing plant, a 3rd-party producer or subcontractor, a storage/cold-store facility operated by a vendor, or an external trading partner that supplies or receives trade items on the company's behalf.
Each Stock Center record captures the identity and address of the site, links it to a Vendor and/or Customer record where relevant, and holds the configuration that controls how lot numbers, pallet/SSCC barcodes, certifications, and storage or warehouse fees are handled for everything that happens at that site.
Stock Center Type
The Stock Center Type option field classifies the site as blank (an internal/own stock center), External (an external producer, e.g. a 3rd-party site that produces or stores trade items under the company's certification and control), or 3rd Party Producer. The List page offers built-in “Internal” and “External” views based on this field.
How Stock Center Is Used
Stock Center Code is one of the core dimensions carried alongside Item, Lot, and Location throughout Wisefish. It is stamped onto trade item ledger entries, lots, pallets, journal lines, and agreement lines, which lets the system report, filter, and post transactions by site.
In practice, Stock Center touches almost every functional area of the app.

The Card's Storage Agreements and Warehouse groups configure barcode identification method, whether a pallet no. is mandatory at registration, and per-metric-tonne service fee billing. |

Stock Center is a valid Source Type for the Certification Program Register. The Certification Process field and Valid Certifications flow field on the Card, plus the Certification Programs action, track food-safety/quality certifications per site. |
