Introduction
Wisefish Production is a flexible module designed to manage the transformation of raw materials into finished products. It ensures full traceability throughout the production process, allowing businesses to maintain compliance and quality standards.
Key Features
Multi-Stage Production Tracking – Manage complex production workflows with work-in-progress (WIP) tracking, capturing yield and costs at every stage to enhance financial control and operational insight.
Integration with Production Systems – Automatically register consumption and production by syncing production orders with external systems reducing manual entry and ensuring real-time data accuracy.
GS1-Compliant Pallet & Box Management – Generate GS1-compliant box and pallet labels to meet industry standards.
Cost distribution - Distribute production costs accurately, ensuring that higher-value products like fillets absorb a greater share of total costs, while lower-value byproducts receive a smaller portion
Production Agreements – Link production orders to sales orders for make-to-order production. Track raw material consumption and produced goods with automation, ensuring efficiency and financial accuracy.
Carbon Accounting for Sustainability Reporting – Track and allocate the carbon footprint of produced goods, providing accurate data for sustainability initiatives and regulatory compliance.
Inventory Posting
There are two main methods of recording production, the difference being how detailed the recording has to be. If there are records being kept about individual pallets, i.e. they are assigned box/pallet labels, then the user must produce them through the pallet system. If not then the user can produce inventory units by entering the desired quantity in the trade item output journal.
Trade item journals are similar to item journals in Business central and the purpose is to record various inventory adjustments. The main difference is that in trade item journals, we are working with trade items instead of items. Still, posting trade items will affect Business Central inventory.
