Production processes are about consuming raw materials and producing the end products. During the process, usually there are items of the type “raw material” which are removed from stock and items which are “final products” or secondary material become the new stock.

Trade Item Output Journal can be used to manually enter production data to create produced items.
To correct production entries that have been created in the Trade Item Output Journal, the user needs to use the Trade Item Credit Inbound Journal.
When allocating raw material to a production line it needs to be posted down to the raw material inventory level and the usage recorded to the appropriate production lot.
This recording is made in a Trade Item Consumption journal.
To correct raw material consumption, the Trade Item Credit Outbound Journal is used.
