Entering Catch in the Hold Card

The Hold Card contains information about the number of Tubs filled aboard the vessel and can be used to provide advance catch information to managers ashore. In case the trade item system is in use, the expected catch can be set up in advance (based on the transmitted hold figures) and processed directly on landing. In addition, a more detailed record of the catch can be recorded in the hold card, including the Pull, Depth and Grid Number on a sea chart.

It is not necessary to enter catch to the Hold card and this function will have no effect on posted catch totals.

  1. To enter the catch on a Hold Card, it can be opened by clicking Actions > Assessment > Hold Card.

  1. For a Fishing Trip Haul, it is not necessary to record more than a Haul number (usually consecutive for each haul on the trip). However, it is possible to record a great deal of detailed information about the haul to be preserved with the trip record.

Hauls are additional information and do not affect any recorded figures.

  1. After completing the Haul card, close the Haul record form and continue to complete the Hold Card record.

  2. No. of Tubs: Enter the number of filled Tubs.

  3. Fishing Area: Enter the grid number on a sea chart on which the Haul was taken.

  4. Depth: Enter the depth in meters where the Catch was taken.
