Create a Production Agreement from Delivery Agreementxx

When items are not available in stock, you can initiate a Production Agreement to order new production. This ensures that produced trade items are automatically reserved for the Delivery Agreement as they become available from production.

This chapter focuses solely on how to create a Production Agreement based on an existing Delivery Agreement. To fully understand the process, we strongly recommend reading the Production Agreement Manual alongside this chapter. A solid understanding of the fundamentals and setup outlined in that manual is essential for correctly completing this process.

To begin, open the released Delivery Agreement and select Create Production Agreement from the ribbon. Notice that the Agreement has no linked Production Agreements under the general tab.

The user can then choose whether to create a Production Agreement for all lines in the Delivery Agreement.

If No is selected, the user will have the option to manually select which lines to include.

In the field Inbound Type the user selects Production. Production Agreements are created for the company's own processing plant so that production can be scheduled in time, but Receipt Agreements are created for purchased inventory from vendors.

First use the ‘Select line(s)’ action in the ribbon to move ‘Lines for Selection from the left side of the page to the ‘Selected lines’ on the right side of the page. Then run the action 'Create Document’.

The system auto-creates a Production Agreement based on the sales data already entered into the Delivery Agreement.

Notice the link between Delivery Agreement and production Agreement is maintained on both agreement sides:

When the production is posted, the Production Agreement lines are updated with the new production information, resulting inventory will then be automatically reserved for the associated Delivery Agreement.
