Create Production Agreement from Production Forecast

Production Forecasts in Wisefish are based on predefined Processing Options that are set up for each processing line. The production manager may route the same raw material into different processing lines that result in different products being produced, different yields, - costs and -sales margins. Each such processing line requires a Processing Option setup in Wisefish.

A simplified example could be of a company with two processing lines, A and B. Both lines/options consume the same raw material, 001 Cod. Processing line/option A is new and productive, while line/option B is old and worn.

To create a new Production Option go to the Production Option List and click New.

The output of Processing Option A is 90% product FG0020 - Cod Fillets and 10% product FG0021 - Cod Waste. The overall raw material yield is approximately 63%.

The output of Processing Option B gives 85% product FG0020 - Cod Fillets and 15% product FG0021 - Cod Waste. The raw material yield is around 60%.

These two 'Processing Options' must be defined before the Forecasting can take place !

A new 'Production Forecast' can now be is created. The forecast header has information about the 'Raw Material' (001) to consume and the raw material 'Qty to Forecast' (5.000 kg). The raw material is divided between the two processing lines in this way: 70% goes into PO-A and 30% into PO-B.

Based on the Processing Options already defined for the two processing lines/options, the system forecasts the outcome per line/options and end-product; details the inbound 'Raw Material Qty' to consume and the outbound 'Qty to Produce'. Use the action button in the forecast ribbon 'Create Production Agreements' to generate two Production Agreements - one for each production line/option.

The system creates the two Production Agreements and they can be looked up by clicking the 'Production Agreements' counter on the 'General' tab in the Production Forecast Header.

The new Production Agreement shows the estimated production for each output product on the production agreement lines, and a reference back to the 'Production Forecast No.' is maintained in the 'Schedule' tab
