Warehouse User Configuration

This page describes how to set up users for the Wisefish Warehouse module.


WF User Profile

A WF User Profile needs to exist to control the functionality for the users. It is mainly the Warehouse tab that needs to be adjusted for users of the Wise Warehouse.

The General tab also has some settings that might be useful for warehouse employees, these are explained in the manual with the base Wisefish system.

The Warehouse tab contains the following configurations fields:

Field

Description

Location Code

The default location for all users.

Zone Code

Specifies the designated zone where corresponding user assigned with this profile resides & operates. Can be beneficial for devices only operating in certain zone and the device has been configured for a single account for login into Dynamics NAV. This field is optional.

Each zone code in a warehouse is related to a specific location code, which will either affect the available selection of zones or assign related location (if unspecified in profile) linked to the selected zone.

Handheld module

The following fields affects only certain pages in the handheld module, regarding scan of barcodes:

Warehouse User Interface Behaviour

Options:

  • Empty (default) - No affect.

  • Minimize Questions/Interruptions

Warehouse User Interface Mode

Options:

  • Empty (default) - No affect.

  • Opens up Expanded

Warehouse Picking Status Filter

Options:

  • No filter - No affect.

  • Ready for picking


User Setup

Each user is then assigned to the specific WF User Profile through the User Setup:

Profiles (Roles)

There are profiles available to select as a Role that will show the Warehouse cards on the menu.

If another role is active, anyway the user can find the warehouse pages through the search field.
